Plant-based Lunchboxes & Snacks

The kids are back in school and already you're running out of ideas for what the heck to pack them for lunch. And don't even get me started on those snacks they eat when they get home from school. If this sounds like you, you're not alone! Not in the slightest!

Come join us, grab a glass of wine, and together we'll navigate the ins and outs of a healthy lunchbox, the items to grab in the snack aisle (and those to avoid) and some really clever, fun, slam-dunk recipes that are easy to make and tried and true crowd-pleasers. We are the kitchen gatekeepers, let's inspire each other to feed our kids more "grow food" that they actually love and will ask for. And let's drink wine while we figure it all out together!!

During this collaborative workshop, we’ll cover 

  • The simple ins and outs of a plant-based lifestyle. 
  • What a well stocked plant-based pantry looks like.
  • Easy ideas for putting together simple, fun and nutritious school lunches that your kids will enjoy.
  • Discussion: Simple swaps - currently you're serving X - try serving this, that or these!
  • Tried and true after school snacks that will nourish and satisfy even your pickiest eater.
  • Plus, we’ll riff on common concerns, struggles, and insecurities around food that seem like massive hurdles.

Plant-based Cheese 101

Join us for a relaxed evening with friends, sipping wine and learning the basics of making nut-based cheeses at home. More and more people are being drawn to a plant-based lifestyle but dairy is often the most challenging hurdle to get past. 

During this hands-on workshop, we’ll cover:

  • The simple ins and outs of a plant-based diet.
  • What a well stocked plant-based pantry looks like.
  • How to make very simple, dairy-free alternatives for parmesan, sour cream, ricotta and even a decadent triple cream style cheese using nuts and seeds and not much more.
  • Plus, we’ll sample a wide selection of plant-based cheeses available on the market. 

Each participant will receive a glass of wine upon arrival and leave with freshly made nut-based cheeses, a recipe packet, ideas for simple dairy swaps at home and a better understanding of why 75% of the world's population is actually lactose intolerant.

Join us for a relaxed evening where you'll learn the basics of making nut-based cheeses, at home. More and more people are being drawn to a plant-based lifestyle but dairy is often the most challenging hurdle to get past. 

Come meet the owners of Oat Bakery, nosh on some of their incredible bread, sip wine, make new friends and discover a new found love for plant-based cheese.

During this hands-on workshop, we’ll cover 

  • The simple ins and outs of a plant-based diet.
  • What a well stocked plant-based pantry looks like.
  • How to make very simple, dairy-free alternatives for parmesan, sour cream and ricotta and the beginnings of more formed cheeses.
  • Plus, we’ll sample a wide selection of plant-based cheeses available on the market, along with my favorite triple cream!!

 

Each participant will receive a glass of wine upon arrival and leave with freshly made nut-based cheeses, a recipe packet, ideas for simple dairy swaps at home, a better understanding of why 75% of the world's population is actually lactose intolerant and a fresh loaf of delicious Oat Bakery bread!!
