Basking In Goodness was born out of a desire to silence the noise of what you should or shouldn't do to look fit & healthy. Instead we shift the focus to discover what truly makes you feel healthy, happy and whole.
Whilst a main focus of our work is centered around helping individuals and families adopt a more plant-based lifestyle, as a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I practice a holistic approach to health & wellness. By looking at how all areas of life are connected, I support my clients in making small, individualized changes, tweaks and adjustments and by providing a safe and supportive space to get to the core of where they are and where they want to be.
You cannot out-exercise a bad diet, nor can you out-diet zero exercise. But there are so many other components, stories, elements and facets that go into making a person feel whole, in control and empowered to be their best self. Easy to say, but most of us can't get there without some accountability, fundamental tools and resources. I work with each client as a total individual - because you are. Food for life
I believe that Food is Medicine. I believe that helping people regain their health through food is one of the easiest, least expensive and most sustainable methods of reducing our risk for diabetes, heart disease, many types of cancer, obesity and a whole host of other medical conditions. I believe that a whole food plant-based diet should be recommended by all physicians as an evidence-based first step medical option.
Does the plant-based lifestyle seem too hard? Have you already made the switch but find yourself making the same thing over and over again because your creative juices are tapped? I will teach you skills that you can apply to cook a large variety of dishes that are so simple, your mind (and tastebuds) will be blown! Just starting out? We'll start with the basics!
